Environmental Policy

Introduction

The OVENU network consists of over one hundred local oven cleaning service professional throughout the UK. Each technician is the owner of their own oven cleaning franchise which is run and managed centrally by the oven cleaning franchise, OVENU Franchising Limited (OFL) from premises in Berkshire.

The core business activity is oven cleaning and oven valeting in the domestic and semi-commercial sectors.

OFL acknowledge our responsibility to all environmental issues and have adapted our systems, products and procedures in keeping with both legislative and advisory requirements.

Communication

All of our franchisees are updated regularly regarding any and all necessary system amendment requirements to comply with legislative changes pertaining to Environmental matters.

Buying Policy

OFL have a policy of bulk buying on behalf of the franchisee network and vigorously source materials and products from within the UK. Both of these actions reduce unnecessary transportation costs and our franchisees are actively encouraged likewise to trade locally and to use modern, low emission vehicles to undertake their duties.

Environmentally Conscious Products

The exclusive range of OVENU products are designed to have maximum performance yet minimal environmental impact, if any. We are totally committed to on-going research, investment and development in this field to ensure that our products are bio-degradable, non-toxic, phosphate free and as eco-friendly as possible. None of the product range contains caustic soda, is NOT tested on animals and is CFC free in favour of trigger sprays. All of our professional oven cleaners use our specialist Ovenu cleaning products that maximise oven cleaning effectiveness while minimising environmental impact.

Packaging

Our packaging policy is to only use recycled cardboard outers where practical and where plastics are a pre-requisite this will also be of a degradable and/or recyclable nature.

Water

The OVENU operating system is designed to use a minimal amount of water thus saving masses of this valuable resource and our Waste Water policy is operated strictly in accordance with Environment Agency Guidelines to avoid water course pollution.

OFL have an obligation to both the Environment and to our franchisee network and will continue to have resources available at all material times to willingly implement changes to any of the above on a voluntary basis and where legislation is introduced.
